I intend on my music as being a ritual for experiencing unspeakable acts of horror and love. My primary work, which I purposefully describe as to seem vague, generic, and cliche, addresses the nature of ecstatic states, the question of materiality in composition, the fundamental unity between artificial and organic, and the consequences of the accursed share.
My work in music outside of composition is mainly restricted to music critique/writing, engraving, and teaching. I also frequently collaborate with writers and artists. I strongly dislike performing though I do it for friends sometimes.
Biographical Details: I was born in 2002. I am currently a composition undergrad at the University of Michigan School of Music. Prior to college, I was a student at Milton Academy and studied at the New England Conservatory Preparatory school with Rodney Lister. At Michigan, I study/studied with Paul Schoenfeld, Bright Sheng, and Evan Chambers.
